Exports of Italian regions
Istat presents the breakdown of national exports by Italian Regions for the reference period January-March 2011.
In the first quarter 2011, compared with the previous period October-December 2010, in seasonally-adjusted terms, export grows for all areas: North-West +5.1%, South and Islands +3.6%, North-East +3.4% and Centre +2.9%.
In the first quarter 2011, compared with the same period in 2010, exports increase for all territorial divisions , in particular: Islands +27.4%, Centre and South +18.8%, North-West + 18.3% and North-East +15.8%.
In the period January-March 2011, compared with the same period in 2010, more relevant increases, according to their contribution to total export growth, where recorded for Emilia Romagna (+19.2%) and Lazio (+30.5%). Significant increases occurred also for Basilicata (+45.7%), Liguria (+43.3%) Sicilia (+27.9%) and Sardegna (+26.6%).
