Foreign trade and import prices - November 2024
In November 2024, seasonally adjusted data, compared to October 2024, increased both for exports (+1.4%) and for imports (+0.4%). Exports fell by -2.9% for EU countries and rose by +6.1% for non-EU countries. Imports decreased by -3.3% for EU countries and increased by +5.4% for non-EU countries.
Over the last quarter, seasonally-adjusted data, compared to the previous one, increased for both exports (+0.7%) and imports (+1.5%).
In November 2024, compared to the same month of the previous year, exports decreased by -2.7% and imports by -3.2%. Outgoing flows fell for EU countries (-6.0%) and increased for non-EU countries (+0.9%). Incoming flows dropped by -6.4% for the EU area and rose by +1.4% for the extra-EU area.
In November 2024, trade balance registered a surplus of +4,218 million Euros (-1,816 million euros deficit for EU countries and +6,034 million euros surplus for non-EU countries). Excluding energy, trade balance surplus amounted to +8,276 million Euros.
In November 2024, import prices increased by 0.2% on monthly basis (-0.1% for the euro zone, +0.5% for the non-euro zone). Over the last three months, compared to the previous three months, import prices decreased by 0.9% (-0.3% for the euro zone, -1.5% for the non-euro zone).
Import prices, compared to the same month a year ago, declined by 1.4% (-0.4% for the euro zone, -2.5% for the non-euro zone).
