Foreign trade with non-EU countries - May 2024
Data on Italy’s foreign trade with non-EU27[1] countries in June 2024 are preliminary. The results of the survey on total foreign trade in June 2024 will be disseminated on coming 9 August 2024.
In June 2024, exports to non-EU27 countries decreased by 5.3% and imports dropped by 10.2% compared with the same month of the previous year.
In June 2024, in seasonally adjusted terms, exports decreased by 0.8% and imports declined by 3.5% compared with May 2024. Over the last three months, seasonally adjusted data, compared with the previous three months, showed a 0.2% increase in outgoing flows and a 2.6% increase in incoming flows.
In June 2024, the trade balance with non-EU27 countries registered a surplus of 6,036 million euro compared with a surplus of 5,267 million euro in June 2023; excluding energy, the surplus was equal to 9,654 million euro, down compared with a 10,282-million-euro surplus in June 2023.
